# Publishing a walkthrough

> What happens when you publish, and how to edit a published tour.

Publishing prepares every room photo, uploads it, and gives the walkthrough a link you can share.

## Before you publish

* Add at least one image.
* In **Scene info**, enter a **Name**, which publishing requires, and optionally a **Description**. Visitors see both. Set **Visibility** to decide who can open the tour. See [Visibility and ownership](https://docs.6ps.si/docs/library/visibility-and-ownership.md).

## Publish

**1. Click Publish**

Click **Publish** at the top of **Scene info**. If you are signed out, a sign-in window opens first.

**2. Confirm**

If you belong to a team, choose **Personal** or your team's name under **Save as:**. See [Personal and team ownership](https://docs.6ps.si/docs/library/visibility-and-ownership.md#personal-and-team-ownership). Click **Continue**.

**3. Wait for every room**

The panel shows each room's stage: **Compressing**, **Processing 360°** for 360° photos, **Uploading**, and **Done**. The work happens in your browser, so keep the tab open until it finishes.

**4. Share it**

Click **Done** to open the share options.

A room that fails shows **Error** with its message. Click **Retry** to start again. If one photo keeps failing, [replace its image](https://docs.6ps.si/docs/walkthrough/building-a-tour.md#replacing-and-deleting) and publish again.

## Share options

**Publish options** opens when the walkthrough is live:

* **View the walkthrough**
* A **QR code** and the **Share Link**
* **Export iframe**, available on the Pro plan

## Editing a published tour

Open the walkthrough from your [library](https://docs.6ps.si/docs/library/overview.md). The **Publish** button becomes **Save**, and it keeps the same link.

Saving uploads only the rooms you replaced, added, or removed, with the same progress panel.

Adding or deleting whole scenes is not available on a published walkthrough. You can still adjust rooms, buttons, and settings. To change the set of scenes, publish a new walkthrough.
