# Hotspots and buttons

> Add clickable points that show text, images, or links inside a scene.

Buttons add interactive points to your model. A visitor clicks one to read a note, or to open a linked page. You manage them in the **Buttons** panel on the left and edit them in **Button Settings** on the right.

## Two kinds of buttons

| Kind | How it behaves | Position |
| - | - | - |
| On-screen button | Stays in the same place on the screen while the camera moves. | X and Y from -50 to 50, measured from the center of the view. |
| 3D button | Sits on a point of the model and moves with it. | X, Y, and Z coordinates in the scene. |

Use an on-screen button for something that should always be visible, such as a link to your website. Use a 3D button to label a specific part of the model.

## Adding a button

**1. Add the button**

Click **+** in the **Buttons** panel. A new on-screen button appears in the viewer and its settings open.

**2. Place it**

Drag the button in the viewer, or type its values under **Button Location**.

**3. Set what it does**

Choose a **Button Type** and fill in its content.

## Button types

| Type | What the visitor sees |
| - | - |
| **Icon with Text** | A popup with the rich text you write in **Button Description**. |
| **Frame** | The page at your **Link** URL, opened in a frame on top of the scene. Turn on **Fullscreen** to open it over the whole screen. |

**Button Name** is an internal label for the editor's list. Visitors do not see it.

## Appearance

Pick an icon under **Button Icon**. **Size** sets how large an on-screen button appears. A 3D button has **Min**, **Size**, and **Max** fields.
